The Nada Protocol
The Nada Protocol is a non-verbal, group-based approach to wellness and recovery. Developed in the 1970s at Lincoln Hospital in New York, the method involves gently placing up to five small, sterilized disposable acupuncture needles into specific points on each ear. Recipients sit quietly in groups for 30–45 minutes, allowing a balancing effect to occur.

Acupressure Instructions
1. Materials Needed
Use any tiny round seed (e.g. mustard seeds, poppy seeds) and apply them with medical tape, standard tape, or custom band-aids.
2. How to Apply
Aim for the general upper ear region (Shen men + Reverse Shen Men points). Press on them gently when feeling stressed.
3. Placement Time
Beads can stay in place for 1–2 weeks. You can press them occasionally, or remove them at any point if they become uncomfortable.
Professional Integration & Training
Become a certified Acupuncture Detoxification Specialist (ADS).
Nada India Foundation supports training for counselors, psychotherapists, doctors, and grassroots workers to integrate Acudetox ear therapy as an adjunct treatment in behavioral health, addiction recovery, and trauma support.
Training Requirements & Certificate
Trainees must complete both theoretical (didactic) and practical (clinical) components under a Nada Registered Independent Trainer. Upon demonstrating master competencies and signing the Nada Ethics Pledge, candidates receive a **Certificate of Training** as an Acupuncture Detoxification Specialist / Associate / Assistant.
